Who We Are

In 1992 Denis and Kathleen Kidney opened a nursing home on Rock St Kenmare, 4 years later they moved to a purpose-built home on the current site in Killowen and in 2010 it was extended and modernised with capacity now at 50. 

At St Josephs Nursing Home the key focus for Emer and her team of professionals is to enhance the lives of the residents in our care.

Our state-of-the-art care centre is set on spacious landscaped gardens and surrounded by breath-taking scenery in one of the most unspoilt, natural environments in Europe, located at the edge of the award-winning tranquil town of Kenmare, we are a short walk to the many restaurants and shops in the town centre.

St Josephs is a modern yet homely residence providing the highest standard of care from professional and committed staff. Warmth and hospitality symbolise the welcoming environment we afford each of our residents and their families. Out team delivers the highest quality of care, in a manner that is sensitive to our residents’ needs.

We have purpose built elegant, spacious ensuite bedrooms, dining rooms, luxurious day rooms and an abundance of residential amenities.
